Having a thankful attitude helps us to enjoy over everyday life in-spite of our difficulties. We can decide each morning to have a good attitude throughout the day. A good attitude makes the best out of anything in life. It is not easy to have a good attitude always but the more we need God, the more we experience His power in our lives. Being a positive person will always make us happy. The most common question asked is how to be thankful when things are not going well. We can be thankful if we believe “all things together work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). We need to know that God has a good plan for us, “for surely I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare and not for harm” (Jeremiah 29:11).
In today’s world, suffering, pain, sickness, accidents, death has increased tremendously. During this time people run all over the world to get peace, healing and consolation, but they do not find it… This is because, “the world and its desires are passing away, but those who do the will of God live forever” – 1 John 2:17. The world can offer you the best of all material things that you want, but it cannot give you peace and happiness of mind. That is why the word of God tells us, “Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world” – 1 John 2:15
We all are born in the world, live in the world and die in the world, while living here on earth, we live as though we will live here forever. But the truth is, this world is only an illusion, a maya and will disappear from our life, when our end draws near. And that is why the word of God reminds us saying “Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world; for all that is in the world – the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, the pride in riches – comes not from the Father but from the world. And the world and its desire are passing away, but those who do the will of God live forever” (1 Jn 2:15-17)
Everyone here on earth has the joy of receiving from others. But when it comes to give, our hands are short. We expect others to share their wealth and good things with us. But when we are asked to share, we think twice, isn’t it? We want God to bless us but after receiving, we forget God until another need arises. But dear brothers and sisters, in giving, we truly receive. St. Paul says “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Cor 9:7). It is true that God truly loves a cheerful giver. That is why we read in the book of Malachi “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house and thus put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an over flowing blessing” (Malachi. 3:10). Two weeks ago, a brother named Basil Fernandes, shared his testimony. In the year 2007, when he attended my 5 days retreat, he realized that he should give his 1/10th tithe, without fail. He had only 2 branches, with hardly 10 people to work, he was staying in a rented house, he had to travel by public transport, he was into deep debts. But after 5 years, he is blessed with 160 branches, with more than 400 staff, he has his own 3 bedroom private apartment, brand new car, and he is freed from all his debts. All because he never failed to give what belongs to God. without fail he gives his 1/10th to God’s work and attends retreat every month with his family.
Pray because it is needed,
Needed to bring near your enemies end,
To end all those wrongs and hatred,
Prayer filled with Spirit and Truth is needed.
For joy and peace pray,
If you are sad and your feeling bad pray,
You are happy and your laughing praise,
Pray to God, praise the Lord everyday.
In the days your living lean on him,
At your death bed remember him,
Call unto him day and night,
For God alone can protect you and reach you out.
Only Jesus and no one else can listen to you,
Call unto Jesus, on whom even saints and angels leaned on too,
The end is near and the world will fade,
Only Jesus can save you from going to the Hades.

I am not afraid of anything,
Nor do I worry about a single thing,
I have kept my hope in suffering,
Whatever I do my aim is to meet his decrees.
Why should we be anxious when God is on our side?
Didn’t he tell each one of us that he cares for us day and night.
Trusting his promises I believe we can make through this hard time,
Believe in his gospel which is true and which will help you rise.
He is with us and also he is in us.
We are more powerful than anything in this universe.
Because we adore the God who made this world,
Because He lives in us, we will reign with him forever.
Trust in the Lord at all times you who have renewed your life in Jesus Christ,
Let not your heart be troubled because of sufferings and crisis.
