OUR FAITHFUL GOD

My dear brothers and sisters, in today’s world it is very difficult to find someone who is faithful; whether a friend, a spouse, an employee, a worker or anyone. Some time or the other that person will become unfaithful to you. And this is the time we try to search for the one who is always faithful. He is none other than our Lord Jesus Christ. As St. Paul says to the Thessalonians, “The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do this.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:24.

THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD

Many of us would have watched movies or pictures or TV serials or short commercial films. The main theme in all is revenge. Due to some reason one character in the film becomes the villian and swears to take revenge on the hero or heroine. And in the end of the film the revenge is taken and the film is over. There are many cases like this in real life too; maybe in your life too; where your want to fight against a relative or friend or neighbour and take revenge. But this is not what the Holy Bible tells us to do. In Exodus 14:14 we read “The Lord will fight for you and you have only to keep still.” It is very difficult to forget incidents and to forget the bad that some people have done to us. Sometimes, we want to fight back by doing the same that they did to us. But if we do the same, then what is the difference between them and us. For Romans 12:21 says, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." The Word of God teaches us to “Love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.” – Matthew 5:44.

A NEW LIFE

In the life of every person, there will be a time where he or she has experienced a new life. For many it would be a physical healing, where the person has been healed from a deadly disease and got his life back. This relates to the body. But what is important is being healed spiritually. As the word of God says “Clothe yourselves with the new self, created according to the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” – Ephesians 4:24. Gaining a new life means putting away your sinful life and accepting the word of Jesus Christ which has the power to cleanse and to make one new. “Put away anger and wrangling and slander, together with all malice, and be kind to one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you” – Ephesians 4:31.

I AM POSSIBLE

“Ah! Lord God. It is you who made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”- Jeremiah 32:17. No matter what we are going through right now, no matter how impossible the situation may be, no matter how helpless we are, no matter how hopeless we feel, we should remember one thing, “NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD.” God sees differently than we do, as the word says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways.” -Isaiah 55:8. We see with human eyes and assume things which are not in God’s plan. For he always has a perfect plan for us; as he says, “For surely I know the plans I have for you, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”
