The Bible is full of God’s promises and it reminds us that He is faithful. When difficult times enter our lives it is always easy to focus on ourselves and on our problems. We also tend to blame God that he has sent us these difficulties. But that is wrong because, “The Lord is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made.” – Psalm 145:9. King David always prayed, “And now, O Lord God, you are God, and your words are true, and you have promised good things to your servant.” – 2 Samuel 7:28. God always promises to do good to his children. “O taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are those who take refuge in him.” – Psalm 34:8

We need to hold on to all the promises God has given us. We need to remember that he is with us at all times whenever we need or call to him. “No one shall be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you.” – Joshua 1:5. “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk though fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.” – Isaiah 43:2. “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you.” – Deuteronomy 31:8. As David says, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff-they comfort me.” – Psalm 23:4. Thus, the Lord our God is with us at all times and we need to hold on to him.

Being with us at all times, God provides all our needs. “Even before a word is on my tongue, O Lord, you know it completely.” – Psalm 139:4. “And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19. “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” – Matthew 6:25-26. God promises to gives us all that we need. We have to only trust in his presence with us. “The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do this.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:24.
